Tadge: Corvette Z06's Accounting for 40% of all Corvette Orders
Corvette's Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter was on the webcast Autoline After Hours last week and spoke about the new Corvette Z06. (He brought this Z06 Convertible to the studio with him).
During the show, Tadge was asked about sales of the new Corvette Z06 and he said that they currently are accounting for 40% of all Corvette orders.
As of today, over 4400 Corvette Z06s have already been built and shipped to dealers.
Here's the video with Tadge:

Pretty good. He spoke about DCT, Nismo, AWD, Ford, Ferrari, why taller people can't fit in the Vette, etc.
Denied Zora car, and didn't answer when asked about running hot after 4 laps.

this makes me very happy!
If the new Z06 is really selling that well.. I might as well hold on a little longer and pickup a preowned 2015 garage queen in the next year or two for somewhere in the mid-$60k range. Considering the 2015 will be the only model year with 5yr/100k powertrain warranty I dont mind waiting a little longer as I barely drive the C6 I currently own.

I can't believe the number of current owners trying to sell their 4-5 month old C7's because they have placed an order for a Z06. Why would you not have waited?

Because they can afford to do things this way? Because they saw the glowing reviews from owners? Because they didnt think they needed the top dog vette until now? Who knows frankly and it isnt our business.
