No order updates from GM Chat "Status Code"?????

No order updates from GM Chat "Status Code"?????
Really...that just happened! My car has been sitting in Toledo for 2 weeks with no movement. I asked today if I could get an update and was told to contact my dealer. I then asked for the status code and was told that they are no longer allowed to provide status codes to customers in the forum titled "Checking the status of my an vehicle order". See for yourself...you can't make this up.

Hello, thank you for your recent order of the Corvette! I see your Corvette is produced, but I would advise contacting your dealership to find out when they're expecting delivery as they have access to more information regarding orders they've placed for vehicles than we do.

I interacted with Chevrolet Chat regarding my order about 90 minutes ago. They gave me a status code, not one that I wanted to hear mind you, but they gave it to me. Mine is still in BG.

I called today asking for an update on my order that has a TPW of 4/20. I was told it hasn't changed. I then asked if the status code has changed. I was told they do not give status codes.

I got the same thing. That really stinks...kind of a cool part of the buying process just got taken away.

To be honest GM is behind the curve when it comes to production updates. I ordered a SRT 8 Hemi Challanger and a Jeep Wrangler sport for my DD. All I had to do is give the dealer my email address and pictures were sent of where I was in each stage of the production including updates from the time I signed the paperwork to when the plant got the order all the way to the production line to the vehicle loaded on the transport to my dealership. Pretty cool. Now the pic's used I'm sure was not my actual vehicle although it might have been. Same color and all. Going the GM route is like pulling teeth to get an answer. Frustrating to say the least.

I just chatted with GM 5 minutes ago and they gave me a status code of 3000 with a TPW of 11/23/15. Must be the person on the other end of the chat being lazy. Every time a check, they tell me to hold while they check on the order.

Go over to stingray forum's order tracking thread. "Becky", who is a great gal and salesperson at Roger's chevrolet, will assist you. I thought my car had just been shipped, but she looked up the status, and to my surprise, told me my car had been delivered at the dealer. Good luck.
