Here is a +300 km (190 mph) acceleration for the new 16 CTS-V
As I noticed the CTS-V reach its top speed in the 7th gear.

That person hit 321 at one point, that is like 199MPH, no complaints with that. I mean really how often are you running the car flat out, I would much rather have a car that can take curves as well as this car does and it has plenty of power off the shelf. Active areo will come, suspect C8 at some point.

Keep in mind convertibles are a tad bit slower, so if the guy reached 199 at a point, the coupe could probably reach 201. Not surprised though, I remember some German mag got a Z07 up to 190. It took a while thanks to aero, but it got there.

Anyone know what setup they use for the camera in the first video? I'd like to do something similar to my Z.
That's a sketchy run, I've been on the Bahn a few times. Wish I had my Z with me. 99% of the time they stay out of your lane.

Isn't that the PDR on-car unit vid? Sure looks like it.

Gotta have lane discipline on the autobahn, that's for sure. It's hard to even watch, because Americans are so damn dumb they'd pull right in front of you without thinking twice. I have to think Americans even on the autobahn are dangerous...lol.

Wow!! My heart was racing just watching it!! Very ballsy driver.....one wrong move by him or the drivers he's passing could have let to disaster!
Very impressive and car seemed stable!

Norway.... NEVER
USA.... a few times when nobody is looking :blue angel:
But agree on that other statement, i will take a track warrior any day over bragging 200+ mph rights

Its getting worse and therefor more dangerous now, but still 10 fold safer to do this on Autobahn than on any freeway in US
The worst thing you can do and will get fined for on Autobahn is driving TOO slow in left lanes AND passing another car on the right side
Now drive home and observe

Having lived in Germany for over 20 years, the lack of lane discipline drove me nuts the first few months back in the U.S. Germany has become a lot more crowded and there are not as many opportunities to run wide open on the autobahn anymore and also a lot more speed restricted sections have been added. Great driving in the video.

Never driven the Autobahn, but it's on the bucket list. Hate the lack of driving skills, education and courtesy here in the US. A fair percentage of drivers (most would be in F-150's) would cut you off on purpose if they saw you coming up in the high speed lane like that.

Nice, no loss of acceleration on the 5th to 6th shift at 263 kph shows just how fast that a8 shifts! Wonder what temps were like during/after the blast?
