I say good riddance. If you want to row gears, get a row boat, some oars and hit the lake.

More gear translates into pulling the Viper ~130MPH+ everything else being equal!

Stick is King. I also like air sucking carbs, I can actually tune them, I doubt they'll be back again though.
The reality is times change and stick is going the way of phone books and rotary phones (actually rotary phones are dead already).

Stick is like a phone booth, VHS, 8-track, tape cassettes, CRT TVs, carburetors, analog cell phones, etc. It's a dead technology.

Times change, technology advances and eventually manual stick cars will be all but a memory.

In 50-100 years from now, internal combustion engines will be all but a memory also. In the Netherlands by 2025 NO MORE gasoline and diesel vehicles can be sold. It's a law. Only zero emission vehicles can be sold after 2025.

Studies and technology shows that 50+ years from now the gasoline powered engine will be all but a memory like 8-tracks, cassette tapes, phone booths, etc. It will happen, whether or not some people don't like it, time moves on and things change.
