There are a few of us who want to leave Friday morning and were wondering about hooking up but 9am in Cambridge is a tad early. We'd have to meet in Innisfil at highway 400 around 7 to beat the Friday morning traffic. Easy for us but not for those who would have to drive down from Orillia area. We'll have to work on an alternate plan perhaps..

As a side bar---I am always harping on people about Passports---checked my wifes and it had expired July 15th----I knew something had to happen--it is fate!! Thank goodness she deals with immigration all the time and can get a 24 hour turnaround visa!!!! Ahhhh the delima's of travel. Still trying to get some people hooked up with rooms at the Troy Marriott from those that have cancelled--hopefully all comes off without a hitch----T minus 4 days and counting!!! Weather calling for some cloud right now--will change 6 times before the weekend!!!---have a new 10' X 10 ' tent that we tried out at the beach--it works real slick!!!

I'm the opposite.. I never even think about my passport as Mary makes ALL the travel arrangements anywhere we go. Well.. Last night she was getting the passports together and all I here is "OHHH CHYT" !!!! It seems MY passport expires on August 24th She was worried about some 6 month deal where they won't let you in if your passport expires within that time. Luckily she went on line and read that the US immigration allows you in depending on the length of your stay. I told her that I knew that!
See everyone on the weekend..

I am sure immigration laws state you cannot fly with in 6 weeks of an expired passport. You should be fine doing at border crossing. My wife picks her's up on Thursday--night before we leave!! Nothing like a tight dead line!! Hehehehehehehe weather is looking great--like last year!!!!

T minus 2 days and counting---I have had several inquiries about road closures in Detroit--this mostly effects the 696 which we usually take across Detroit. I have several alternative routes to get to where we need to be. We can take either the Hall Road or the Metropolitan Freeway (16 mile Road) or even go south to 8 mile which is clear all the way across--if you would like to monitor the road conditions in Detroit here is the link:
