Do all or any of the leather conditioners available change or discolor

embroidery?

Anything I can avoid beides avoiding getting near the emblems?

Your input will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Most leather conditioners have oils in them that will collect dirt on the threads of the embroidery and discolor it. I'm not aware of any that would be suitable for the embroidery.

When the embroidery does get soiled, I've used Woolite Carpet and Fabric Foam and a light colored microfiber towel. Excellent product.

Default Scotch Guard?

I haven't given it much thought, but I just installed new leather seat covers on my Vette. I do have embroidered emblems on the head rests. Maybe Scotch Guard applied with a Q-tip might work to help the fabric from absorbing leather conditioners and cleaners. Anyway, I think I will give it a try.

Scotch Guard sounds like a great idea!

Please let us know how it works out.

http://www.autogeek.net/303fabricguard.html
(Better than Scotchgard and easier to use too)

I do also suggest trying to keep leather cleaners off of letters and other embroidery as possible.

Woolite Carpet works great on embroidery.
