Default wheel barrels

OK in need of some serious help here. I have an 07 Z52 3lt with chrome factory wheels. What's the best way to clean the wheel barrels and keep them clean?

Also if i replace 1 wheel that has a gouge in the rim bead from somewhere before i bought the car last year, will it look stupid with that 1 wheel being new and the other barrels looking grayish.

What coating if any do u use after u clean the barrels to keep them nice?

Any help would be great.

thanks guys

Have yet to do this on my c5z but I have used Adams machine super sealant on the barrels and fronts of wheels. Made it very easy to clean months later.

Wheel Woolies from Autogeek are one of the best cleaning tools I have ever used on my car.

Are you certain the wheels are chrome and not high polished (make sure to check it first). I then would also replace the wheel that is damaged, look online or local pull-it type lot for a good take-off as possible.

1. Use a good, safe wheel cleaner and wheel brush
2. Use polishes as needed (optional)
3. Consider a good wheel sealant or wheel coating to protect
**never clean wheels when hot **

Use Zaino's Clear seal, once you have them cleaned up. In my shop we use Meguiar's Wheel Brightener. to clean the barrels If it is really bad we use a commercial wheel acid, but you really need to be on it so you don't etch the wheels.
Once we have them clean and in the condition that we are happy with, we use Zaino's Clear Seal - 2 coats and get nothing but compliments from returning customers about how clean their wheels stayed.

When I first got my grand sport it had a bent chrome rim, $1,000 for a replacement. Come to find out for that money on the forum classifieds here I could have scored a whole set, might want to start watching them.
