Any tips for Sebring roadcourse??
Going to open track day next friday. It will be my first Sebring run. It looks like we will have the full 3.7 mile course. I can't seem to find any good info on the turns/track layout. Any tips will certainly be appreciated...

Talk to your boy , Onks......he should be able to help. Good luck down there at the NCCC convention. Wish I was going, too many other obligations. I probably would have gone if it made more of a difference of 5 pts an event. They really need some sort of championship event, rather than just a social gathering that has some competition.............

If you can find this book quick enough it might help:
Going Faster!
Mastering the Art of Race Driving
The Skip Barber Racing School
Written by Carl Lopez
Chapter 7 has an excellent breakdown of Sebring on a Turn by Turn basis with pictures of the track so you can choose markers along the way. It describes the line and how to approach each turn.

Thanks, guys.
I have to see Jerry later today, anyway Danny, so I'll run it by him and see what he can offer. I got to get some 3 1/2" ducting since I ordered the wrong size (4"....Duh!!)

I have tons of it on DVD. Also make sure to check out:
http://www.na-motorsports.com/Tracks...ng.html#HotLap
It's a description of how to drive the track. That plus the DVD will put you well ahead of the competition.

Make buddies with Red Gump here on the forum! He lives in Sebring and is an excellent instructor. A few laps with him in the passenger seat and you will be golden.
Seriously, PM him. He is a great guy and if he can swing a little time off work he is always willing to help.
Sebring is an awesome track, have fun.
Edit: Here's a video from our last Safe event that Blocktrdr recorded in his Ferrari:

you guys are very generous with the compliments. arte I'll do what I can to help but I'm just a weekend warrior with "home-track" advantage.

Thanks Lou,
I will try and study, study, study your video as I have never been there myself. I am heading down with the old C4 car that weighs 3,520 and only 357 RWHP. What kind of time would be fare for me? I know I will be know where near yours but just wondering.

We turn 2:19s-2:21s in a T1 car: 3280 lbs and about 370 rwhp. I'm assuming you have Kumho racing tires and good brakes. With your weight, HP and considering how hot it's going to be, if you get anywhere near 2:30, you should feel very, very good. I'm guessing you'll be in the mid to high 2:30s (2:35 or so). Good luck and have fun.

Going into turn 5 from about 160 down to 35-40 mph will be a trip. (or a trip if I "trip" over my own feet) but I will get one up from the next race at least in a practice or qualifying.
Maybe we can put up the foot cam for qualifying and the shifter cam for the race.
Thanks and have fun at Sebring.

Thanks for posting that video. there's a forum member out of Ft Meyers Florida, by the name of Datawiz, he made a video with a couple of different cameras, all at the same time showing foot, shift, and the view from the windshield, over the top of the roof, suspension, and from the wheel wells. It wasn't during a race, it was at the Spring Mountain Driving School in Nevada. Thanks again for posting this video.
