Default VIR-Full HPDE event Aug. 30-31 --OPEN--

The good folks at Track Daze have their event scheduled and the registration is pretty low so far. This is 2 days in front of the Mazda event and it will offer some real track-time.

I ran with them last year and it was great, on time and went off without a hitch. Jeremy and Eric do a terrific job.

I don't know the actual numbers but the vendor selling the COOL SHIRTS seemed to be doing good. He also raffled/prized some of which I wasn't lucky enough to get.

I was at VIR Thurs and it was 105 under the tent. My car only got to 237. Pleasantly surprised as so many have had issues with sc and cooling. My oil temp got up to 267 during one session, but other than that. Now about my driving and car set up, that is another story.

Dang ... you guys are tough. I lived in Alaska for 36 years (Fairbanks) and now I almost die in VA when it hits mid 80!

Thanks for the heads up Rex, I signed up yesterday. Hopefully we can hook up I would like to discuss your experiences with the SR Ford as I am potentially interested in pursuing the same path.

I will be in a yellow C6 Z06 with the blue group.

I just put a 2.0L engine in mine and took out the SCCA motor (blown head gasket). I am selling mine end of November ... bought a G2 from Fenske which is a little bigger. They are great cars and a lot of fun ... I won't drive the Corvette any more (goes to fast ... lol).

From the FWIW dept. under our lage canopy at road Atlanta last weekend it was 110*. That's about as hot as I've ever been at the track. Thanks goodness for the Cool Shirt!

Jeff the problem there now is that all the super stores moved in within the last 3 years and the place is a mess. We sold our last property in June. The State also suppress fire fighting now and the summers are mostly smoke filled. What used to be normal 100 mile visibility is now barely VFR until winter .... need to lock on the ILS out of Nenana (25 mi) to get to the float pond!

VA is just plain hot!

Just the cool shirt dude. I'd be living in that canopy and attached trailer if I tried to even suggest that to the MRS...
