Roadracing schools
A couple of buddies and I are thinking of going to a 2 or 3 day racing school in February or March, either down South (Florida, Georgia, S.C.) or out around Las Vegas or AZ. We've been checking out the offerings on line and we are particularly interested in the schools running Corvettes, as two of the 3 of us have them. All three of us are experienced HPDE drivers (15 to 20 track days/year for many years) who have taken 3-day open wheel racing courses in the past, but are looking to hone our skills.
Has anyone gone to an advanced or mid-level course, particularly one running Vettes, that was really good? Or one that was supposed to be good but turned out to be too basic that we should avoid? We are looking for something with a lot of seat time, good instructors and good classroom follow-up as well.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Definitely Spring Mountain advanced course. They will assume you know the basics and work on refining your techniques. By the end of the second day my lap times were within .05. All Corvettes including C6Z's plus full instrumentation.

I went to Henry's school and loved it
I have been to 3 of Henry Gilbert"s tchools with both friends and famly members going along and had an absolute blast.
The structure for the school is that you drive the schools cars which are all corvettes. Some are stock c5s some are c5zo6s and there may be one race prepared c5zo6 possibly available for the more advanced students.
In the school there is an instructor in the car with you at all times for both days and you will get a lot of seat time, and some classroom instruction. Also this is not lead follow instruction, it is you being allowed to push the car to the limit of your abilities,
on a real race tack.
I could not have been more pleased with Henry's school. I went to both Roebling Road and Moroso. Both were good tracks, but Roebling is near Savannah and that is very nice.

Note: Insurance will be $75.00 per day per student; the student will be responsible for the first $5,000 of damage should an accident occur.
