Default New years goals/resolutions

What's everyone got planned for 08??

__________________

I had big plans for my car last year and was going to take VA by storm in a monster C5. Real life got in the way and my car has sat almost untouched since the last event I did in Germany in 2006 Not going to let that happen this year. I've got orders in with LG, Pfadt, Hardbar, and rockauto to get started with some of the basic work. By Febuary, I'll have my suspension all sorted out and ready to go for AutoX. After that, cooling for some HPDEs and toward the end of the year, time for some more power.

Oh, sometime between now and June, I need to find a new job if I'm going to pay for all this. Anyone want to hire a soon to be former AF Captain?

Win the Northeast division title, the June Sprints and the Run Offs. It's called the Triple Crown.

Run some Grand Am Koni Challenge races, and some amatuer endurance races with Mazda.

Gonna be busy this year!

For a ton of real life reasons as you say I made it to the track once last year After doing 40+ days some years I can't believe it. The one time I went at the end of the season was bad.

Started by going to truck to find $100.00 ticket for leaving truck in the road over night. Hooking up trailer and trailer hitch almost dropping on my finger in the dark. Missed turn to Lime Rock and arrived late. Rushed to registration and tripped over bench. Ran down stairs and though their was one more step so my legs buckled and near put me on my knees on the landing.

Ran to car to unload to not miss first session. Rolled car back on tilt trailer and put it in gear as I have no Ebrake. Pump tilt bed up then go to start it. Rushing I lean in car and press clutch with my hand and hit the key with the other. Car starts and idles at 2200 till I blip the throttle, newer tune would cure that. Next I hear the engine rev and being in a rush I pop my hand off the clutch.
Then I hear rubber burning as I am dragged forward over the trailer wheels. Car goes forward very fast for six feet then stops suddenly. Splitter contacts two steel tool boxes carriage bolted securely to trailer bed. Splitter folds back on each side. I punch the fender and hurt my hand. I should have punched myself instead. That was the end of my great 07 season. Goodbye 2007!

I could have run the car but the mood I was in it was the only smart thing I did after walking the pits for 2 hr. to cool off. I never let my hand up fast on the clutch except once . Fourteen hundred for insurance and I went fron the driveway to the trailer once. Near the same for the Grand Sport and never drove it either not one yard.

Weight reduction on car and myself. Fifteen off me and as much as possible off the car. AND of course new splitter Tired of having life size diecast in the garage

Get my new suspension set up and then leave the car alone.

Buy a shifter kart and start racing for a lot less money than I would normally spend doing track days with the Z06.

1) Not blowing up another motor in 2008!
2) Keep rest of vehicle and myself intact.
3) Pick up some speed/times.
4) Try at least 2 new tracks.

go from EVO 3 size to EVO 2 size.
That should be good for a second or two.

I had to think about that for a few minutes. Good way to put it.
