Default 210.2 mph Texas standing mile LG Motorsports C6 Z06 TT

Hi guys

That would be a record for a C6 in a timed mile event.

Full report when we get home. With Video

Thanks

Hi Guys,

Finally of the Iphone so the mis-spellings will be all my fault.

The first run, the car was all over the place, from side to side, and it actually took steering input to keep it going straight.

We had large rear tires on it to get the top speed, and that required a higher ride height. So we started lowering the rear and by the end of the last run, it drove pretty straight and was a piece of cake to make the run.

The turbos spool up so fast that the tires spin and it made more sense to shift early rather than spin the tires.

The tires were a road racing Dunlop from our ALMS car which usually take a lap or two to get up to temp. But a single burnout was not enough to get some stick in them. that was why it was so easy to spin them.

By third gear the tires were warm enough but with the boost by gear set up, we pushed the boost up, so the power was over 800 in 3rd, which still spun them. With some testing, we could get the max out of the car and probably hit over 215 pretty easily.

4th and 5th was just about hanging on. And on the last run, with methanol injection, it went rich, and I pulled out just before the mile marker just to be safe. Turned out to be going pig rich with too much Meth.

The gear changes with all that torque (1000 ft pounds) were really clumsy. The transmission had to unload from the huge torque load before it could be shifted smoothly.

Our New 3 disc carbon clutch held perfectly even with all that torque. The pedal pressure was smooth and easy while the grip of the clutch was unbreakable. Great addition to the choice of clutches.

The fuel system also worked flawless. Dual pumps, with surge tank and return with dual pressure regulators was the key to the consistent fuel delivery.

All in all, the project was a success. Yes there is more in it but that will be for next time.

The Video is being worked on as we speak.

Thanks
Lou G

That was a forum member driving his flat out supra. I have heard about 1400 horsepower. Pretty fast as the MPH will show.

What was the e.t. like for the mile? Also, did your computer give you 0-100 and 0-200 times? Just curious.
