Go right in your backyard, Driving Impressions. www.teamdi.com

Showroom/Warehouse in Dover, NJ.

They also have the store at Lime Rock Park. Give Bob a call 800-275-4667.

I'm working with him on developing some new business stuff, and hopefully becoming a sponsor of this forum very shortly.

If you have somebody local it is best to deal with them. A number of these items are best purchased where you can try them on for fit. When I purchased my Simpson helmets my local dealer had to order several to get one that fit correctly. He wouldn't let me leave the store with one until I had one that fit just right. Can't get that kind of service from a mail order shop.

Totally agree, but there seems to be a lack of these types of shops near me....or let me say it another way...I have no idea where they are.

At least until i got some help here.

Default Safety Gear

For helmets and seats, as stated, you need to try them on. Stable Energies is in Jersey and carry very good products with good reputations. CDOC now has a store at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville.

For harnesses, most of the previously mentioned vendors will work. One important addition is M&R in Vineland, NJ. You can go to their store and pick your color and style. If they do not have what you want, they will custom make it for you. They also reweb to stay current with racing organizations requirements. Check them out at http://www.mrproducts.com/

They cost a little more, but the custom work and customer service is fantastic! If you need tie downs for a trailer, they also custom make them for your application. I found this out after trying to trailer my C6 on a Trailex trailer.

MSI (Current supporting forum vendor) is a HANS dealer, and we also sell all of the other racing gear that you need. Of course we are on the other end of the country so fitting can be a bit of a challenge.

If you are looking for a HANS, then I would recommend Bell, ZAMP and Pyrotect helmets. Having drilled and installed HANS anchors into many other brand helmets, you learn that many have very thin skirt areas to anchor to and have found one particular popular brand helmet to have problems putting the eye ports and shields symetrecally on the helmet center line.
