1:59's VIR FULL in an ST2 car?
Popp pulled off a 1:59.6 today on a green track on really, really old tires, Driving James Forbis's TTS/ST2 car today. I expect his ST1 car will be 1:52's or better if he can get on sticker A's.
I would also like to tell Popp to please never run an ST2/TTS car again, as he stole my Hoosier contingency and I'm only gonna walk away with 2 tires this weekend instead of 4.

I'm glad I didn't go to VIR this weekend.
1:59 is smoking, was that a Race lap or a TT lap? I'll assume a TT lap since it was in James's car. I see some real battles going down in TTS this year,

Based on mylaps.com it was a TT. A really great run! Race should be about anytime now. Will be on mylaps if NASA Mid-Atlantic is as quick posting this afternoon's events as they were yesterday and this morning.

Seriously great driving out their this weekend, Danny.
Car looked amazing on track. Each corner you were on the limit, and the car just seemed to dance out there.
Wish you could have heard the crowd go crazy at the concession area as you went by sideways in the rain each time during Saturday race-(once you got a half a lap lead on everyone,) I must add.
Haha, it was so cool.

No doubt, that's what he was fighting with for the overall win. But hell that was in a 3380# slightly underpowered ST2 car. In his ST1 car........
Like I said, 1:52's in my opinion, with nary an SU car in sight.

Its official danny is no longer allowed to run ST-2 in mid atlantic.... or some serious harm will come to his car 
Danny, it was great meeting you and i hope your drive back was good. I know after working a little on my car and going out for qualifying on my brand new penske's on full soft was a little weird. I dialed in a little stiffer setup and was ok for the race, but there is a LOT of setup work to do with my car.
Wally was fun to race with and sundays race was me and wally for a good 20 minutes, until some mustang caused me to go off in T1... oh well.
Danny when is the next race at mid-o? I might just have to drive out there and let you all embarrass me again, lol!!
