Your better off with the stock belts.
Harness may seem easy to install, but it does take quite some time to get them installed just right. Plus having all the proper hardware and the harness bar.
Also do your seat backs have holes in for the shoulder harness? Most clubs require shoulder harness to run though seats designed for harness, i.e. race seats.
Wrapping shoulder harness around the seat back is NOT safe idea, and many clubs will not allow this

Get a pull up harness. Although the lap belt straps are longer it is much easier to adjust the lap belt with pullup Vs pulldown. With pull down the inside belt is impossible to adjust once in the car and the outside belt requires having the door open and a very long arm.

No trouble with the L&L in mine, I'd get them again.

I hooked my watch band on the latch one time in a parking lot autocross and unlatched my belts. Probably a fluke, but I replaced it with a cam lock when it died of old age.

It is not that bad, and they are totally safe, just an inconvenience. The camlocks are easier, but the round ones are less likely to have an accidental release than ones with a lever type release.

As an instructor I had the opportunity to ride in a car with a cam lock and a latch lock.
That latch was a pain, simple but still a pain.
When I get the belts for my car it will be a cam lock.

isn't there a difference if you are upside down? camlock may be more difficult to undo given the tension on the buckle, is what i hear.
i've used both and don't know which i'd prefer upside down. certainly right-side-up the camlock is cooler.

I have cam lock belts now but I don't mind latch and link. My old one's were latch and link. My next ones probably will be latch and link because the price difference doesn't seem worth it in my opinion. I would rather buy a higher quality latch and link system than than a cheap camlock.

I've had both types, and I don't think there is any problem releasing a camlock upside down. Anyway, just keep the wheels pointing down and you'll be ok!

There is one huge advantage in LL when it has a longer tongue for 2 substraps, that means room for 2 shoulders & 2 subs. When you get the 2 substrap LL you have a true 6pt harness that won't crush your nuts like a V or T sub on a camlock. In fact a V or T substrap is not a great 6 point sub. Most importantly however is that you have the most direct control over the lapbelt (which is the purpose of the subs) because the subs are directly attached to the LL. The only other camlock that can claim this is a very expensive scroth hybrid cam. Even if you use a 6pt forumla style camlock that true 6pt sub will not act on the lapbelt as quickly as the LL or a scroth hybrid. So, If I was buying a harness today it would be a 6pt scrotch hybrid first then a LL 6pt then anything else 3rd.

Teamtech has the same arrangement and then takes it one step further with the Jetpilot harness. I am only saying that even though I don't like the latch type, there is really nothing wrong with them.
