Bought a T1 Car!
After a lot of thought and getting tired of working on my track car, I decided to go ahead and by a T1 z06. This car was run by Pete Looby in 05 in the runoffs, and then retired. I drove about 36 hours round trip up to NW Iowa to pick it up. The car told me it is now happy to be out of farmland and enjoying time with the older brother c6 zo6 in the garage.
Here are some pics, I am planning to bring the car to the NCM event at VIR so my 'lucky' student or any willing fearless individuals will be able to get a ride!
I'll be asking a lot of advice from my friends here on the forum, as I am planning to get stared with this car in NASA ST2.
Thanks to Randy who sold me the car. It is in great shape and beautiful. Good luck with the Trans am car.

Congrats Tim!
Here's my first tip:
Stay in ST2 to keep the costs down!
I hate the spec rules for SCCA T1, even with the new mods that are allowed, but it does keep things to a reasonable expense, unless you want to run at the top.

Seeing these `cheap' cars go by is certainly making me question the build of my '87 RX7 TurboII... as it stretches yet another year in occurring. Only been trying to get that car completely finished for over a decade now...

The previous owner of this car sank a ton of money into it, new motor, trans, all suspensions pieces etc. for the runoffs. I think it finished 12 in 05 and got parked after that. I don't have that kind of cash, so I have to drive harder to bridge the gap. Tim

I'll ask the rude question: Is that due to "taking full advantage of the rules" or because you need to test a bazillion hours to run up top?

Tim's a very good driver so perhaps this doesn't apply to him.
It's cool he bought the car and will be racing it, wherever!
