CMP or TGPR
I have a weekend open in September and there are two choices for events.
1 day with Alabama PCA at TGPR
2 day with SCCA at CMP
Anybody have an opinion on either group at these tracks? Just trying to decide where to go.

Bit of a toss up. Neither are my favorites. TGPR is a very small track and generally only 5 cars are on track at any moment in time. I generally just run there to test & tune and it's only about 2.5 hours from ATL.
CMP is a larger/wider track and will eat your tires and brake pads and rotors. TGPR is rough on tires also though.
I'd say CMP -- track is more challenging...

OBTW - when is the event? Wonder if they need instructors?

September 18-19. Where is a good place to stay around there? I will be there solo, so it doesn't have to be nice but I prefer not to get stabbed.

A. you would either get hardly any track time if they cut run groups into 2 seperate groups or
B. it would look like a train going around the track.
