Default NASA Nationals Video Thread

Wow what a week.

Here's the Group "D" race from Saturday (PTB, PTA, ST1, ST2, SU).
I managed to lose a cylinder earlier in the day and almost didn't go out for the race.
I wanted to do voice over commentary, but I'm too stoopid to figure out how to do it.
Race highlights are in the video description (watch on YouTube for that). Best to watch full screen if resolution will support it.

Here's a multi camera Group D PTA teaser...it'll take me a few days to finish it. I'm backed up with work being gone for a week.

Awesome. Except for the camera dying. T2 was a thrill the whole race. I think half the field spun there at one time or another.

Figure I'll add mine.

Friday's super short qualifying sprint race was pretty crazy:

And the national championship race (exciting parts listed in the description):

Your car was on fire! For like 3-4 laps. I couldn't believe it took them so long to throw the black flag...it seemed like the car might burst into flames on the straight.

I love race cars with inspection stickers.

Scott,
I thought you did a nice job changing lines as the weather changed. Great drive! Congrats!

Thanks Chris. It took me a while to figure out what worked and what didn't since the track was new to me. Towards the middle to end of the race, I adjusted my line through the keyhole and the back carousel and used 2nd gear as much as possible to get a good launch out of those corners. I had to do something due to the engine problem, but I was surprised how well the car did in a couple of drag races I had. The TV coverage doesn't even come close to accurately portraying the constantly changing track conditions. T1 almost got me a couple of times in a big way.
I tried my best to work traffic and use slower cars to gap myself and that paid off pretty well.
I would have finished dead last if it were dry.

Can you believe that little tag I got in the LR at the 2:04 mark did this?!
