Long tube hearders, high flow cats and no mufflers. Surprisingly civil until you floor it then all hell breaks loose. I had the Ti mufflers on before I decided to go with this set up. After taking them off I went straight to Summit. The difference in power was unbelievable! It made me realize how restrictive the Ti mufflers are!

The Ti mufflers aren't restrictive at all. ECS has tested them on 700 rwhp blower cars and only saw a 7-10 rwhp loss. Cars with straight pipes are annoying. On my race car I've kept the stock Tis and love them.

You don't need to have the exhaust exit out the side to have a diffuser. Look at the Callaway Corvette GT3 cars.

Why are you so stuck on a diffusor for a street car? They require a complete re-work of the underpan of the car, full custom exhaust and trans/diff cooling to make up for the loss of airflow. Side exhaust on a C5/C6 requires a false floor and cutting the frame rails.
Are you building your car to any specific race/TT class?

Ti vs no mufflers at all on a 700hp car 7-10 hp loss? I would have to see those test results to believe it.

That's because you have to.
But seriously, I ran Ti's for a year and loved them too. I removed them after my first Thunder race when I couldn't hear my car. Car made about 4 more hp with straight pipes.
