Default Rear End Clutches Locking Up

I have a new RPM Stage 2 rear end on my C5. The rear has only about 1000 miles on it but about 65 passes. Recently the rear clutches having been locking up at slow speeds. I changed the fluid and also added the GM rear end additive. It seems to be a bit better but is still sticking. Any suggestions.

Gotta do 12 figure 8's at idle speed to lube the clutch packs.

You sure nothing is broke inside Dave? Awhile back my rear would bind up turning left or right at low speed turned out it was a broken spider gear.

I am starting to think something may be broke. If I turn hard to the right at low speed I hear an occasional boink noise. I thought maybe it could be a suspension noise because of the binding of the rear.

Call RPM Dave, see what they think. (you sure it's a boink, or a clunk ?)

when you turn and you hear that noise can you feel the rear of the car kind of raise up? I'm thinking spider gear.

Yes I think the car moves up. That is why I thought it was the suspension.

I had a similar issue. Turned out to be broken spider gears.

Good luck with it.

I went with a spool. No more clutches. No problems driving on the hwy or local. In parking lots, you will have the inside tire chirping.

The downside with a spool is that it's even harder on the spider gears.
