I'm Back! ZR_Don's Pics from CI in BG Memorial Day
Wow! Carol and Lori (from the Great Lakes area) made the Front Main page of the Corvetteforum.com with this pic!
Here are a few of the Pictures we took at Cruise In 8 - Bowling Green, KY this past weekend! Lori and I had another GREAT TIME with all our Forum Friends…..even the Clutch.
Most of The Chicago Crew was happy to see this Truck!
We had a great area to hang out at between looking at the Cars!
Try not to miss out on the Smokey Pig BBQ. At one point I saw 15 or 20 Vettes there!
The Watch Dog!
A few Perfect Gentlemen!
I got my new shirt, did you get yours?
After the Cruise In, Lori and I drove out to Lexington, KY for a visit. This is one of the interesting towns in Kentucky on the way to Lexington.
We stayed Downtown and had a great time there. Lots of good eats and fun clubs!
The BEST part about going to Lexington is the Kentucky “Farm roads”. We took US Highway 62 into Lexington (thru the Land of the Shakers) and US Highway 421 out of town on Monday into Indiana then back home to Chicagoland.
This is a great route if you are interested in some GREAT Rollercoaster type roads for a few hundred miles. Ill try and post some more pics of the twisties of KY on Webshots.
Total Trip Miles = 1100!!
Approximate total CORVETTE driving time = 21 hours over 6 days!!!
(travel, racing, touring, farmroading, crusing, etc.)
Hope to see everyone again…… and hopefully a few NEW Great Lakes faces at Cruise in 9 next year!

Don, good to see you again! Thanks for letting me 'stretch the Z's legs a bit' too. One of these days I'm gonna have to get me one of those.

We got to get you down there one of these years. You would LOVE IT. I thought you would find this picture funny!
I got this shirt from the Bowling Green Harley Davidson dealer thinking I would be the ONLY guy wearing it……….until I ran into George about 5 min after I put it on. Darn bikers.
Mark (hdman1962), Great meeting you too and I’m glad your ride got you back safely to VA. I should have a better idea of time and dates of the Tail of the Dragon trip within a week. I will Email you as soon as I know more info.
RE:
Great pics Don! I think you should have got a shirt from Tattle Tales.
Hey Frank (perfectlyfrank), If somehow I obtained one of those gentleman shirts, my wife might get the idea that I actually went with you guys (sorry, this is an inside joke unless you were AT the Cruise In).
