Exactly what I did. Moved it from remote garage to home.
Some chance of snow early Sat but unless they salt I'm out
maybe later that day and Sunday.

AWESOME Steve, I am glad you had a great day to enjoy your bad boy in February. I know usually your clean (beloved) machines won't see the light of day until about mid-April.

No big surprise there, with us having to only pick up the shovel 4 times so far this year and it being the back third of Feb., any winter event (big or small) is inevitable. Even if no salt is needed you know that any thought of a winter occurrence will have the the Village, City and IDOT snow guys throwing salt down like crazy, as they need to do their best to justify their snow/salt budget for next year!

That the bad news, the good news is that we will be full steam ahead and don't look back in just 2 to 4 weeks!

Had a great run with my Viper out being used as my daily driver for 8.5 days. Swapped out back to my 2016 Mustang GT and if fresh salt gets thrown down then back to my 2002 Jeep Cherokee Beater that has been sitting since Feb. 2nd.

Just 36 Days now and counting down until April 1st and only 25 days to the first day of Calendar Spring, March 20th, when most my toys should be out on a full time basis (by Calendar Spring); but probably way sooner than that, as mild as this winter is that we are having!

Looks like 50/50 chance for the snow and with it hitting on a Saturday maybe there will be less chance for salt.

Unfortunately, even if we get just a light dusting they'll put down a ton of salt.

That's for sure and it will be a HUGE amount of salt like you say.

Hopefully the snow/freezing type rain misses out and we get ZERO salt put down that would be awesome!

The new salt placed on the greater Chicagoland highways after our MINIMAL dusting over Friday night was really minimal and I only really saw it on I-90 Westbound past Schaumburg and on some private property, so I had my 2016 Mustang GT out all day today (Sunday) and had a blast rowing through the gears and shifting her at 7,000 rpm (love that 5.0 Coyote engine)!

Just 33 Days now and counting down until April 1st and only 22 days to the first day of Calendar Spring, March 20th, when most my toys should be out on a full time basis (by Calendar Spring); but probably way sooner than that, as mild as this winter that we are having!

I noticed quite a bit of salt on the roads when I went to church yesterday morning in South Barrington. There is a bunch at Ela Rd. and Algonquin Rd. They also put down lots of salt on Rt. 83 and Old Rt. 53 in the Long Grove area. For some unknown reason, the salt fairy seems to favor the northern suburbs. I keep reminding myself that it's still February and that spring rains will soon wash it all away.
