Default Potential buyer with questions...

Hi guys! I've been lurking on here for about a week now as C5 Z06's are on my radar again. I'm a Mustang guy first and always will be, but I made the mistake of visiting Buy-A-Vette last summer and test driving an '03 Z06. I've been hooked ever since waiting for the chance to buy one. I'm no stranger to fast cars. I've owned an '03 Cobra, a blown '97 Cobra, a '94 Lightning, an '01 GTP (not stock), and currently own an '07 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R and '01 Mercedes E55 AMG. I like my toys. LOL. Anyway, I'm jonesing for a new toy. I've been looking at Mustangs, 2nd Gen Lightnings, late '90s 911's, 350z's, etc, etc... I ran across a Vette last week and got to check it out and drive it yesterday. I'm VERY interested in the car.

2001 Z06 Black on Red
94k miles
It's lowered and has Black "Motorsport" wheels.
The body and interior are easily a 9.5 out of 10. The car is immaculate! And the engine...
West Coast Corvette Stage 2 Head and Cam Package, Vararam Intake, Comp Cams High Energy Hydraulic Lifters, Comp Cams Retro Fit Trunion Upgrade Kit, Melrose Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers, Random Technology High Flow Catalytic Converters, X-Pipe, Billy Boat Bullet Exhaust w/4" Dual Tips, LS7 Clutch and Flywheel. And he has receipts for everything.

I rode with him and about **** myself. That's easily the quickest and fastest I've ever been on 4 wheels and I think it would give my bike a good run. Then I drove it and I have no complaints. The car does exactly what I expect it to do and does it well. And, DAMN, it's loud!

My questions:
Are there any possible issues I should be concerned about for a high mileage Z?
How strong (or weak) are the transmissions and rearends in these cars? I'm used to having to build the hell out of Mustang IRS...
How hard would it be to raise the car back up? (It's going to be a DD for the forseeable future)
Any former (or current) blown Mustang boys in here with suggestions on driving a light weight N/A beast daily?

Sorry for the long first post and thanks in advance.
