Default headlight motor problem

I was on a trip to Pinehurst this weekend and noticed that the drivers side headlight housing was not fully down when lights off, it was up about an inch.

I operated the headlight switch and watched the right side go up and the left side go up and then go down it seems whatever position I ask the lights to do the drivers side (Left) does the opposite but not ever fully up or down.

I have tried adjusting the manual **** on the motor but still not getting full travel either way.

No unusual noise was noticed.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Welcome to the forum. You need to tell what year your car is so we can point you to the correct section

You have either a C2, C3, C4 or a C5. Go to the appropriate section here in the forum and ask your question there. You might also use the search function for an answer there too. Good luck

Default C5 headlight problem

Sorry I thought that I included the year of my car with the headlight problem.
It is a 2002 Coupe.
