It was PACKED today and over half of the Fun Field spots on the lower field are claimed. Perfect weather, lots of vendors. Great first day.

What time does everything get going ? How is the traffic getting there? (rt 83n to tpk to rt 11) I have not been there in years, and usually got there late morning on Fri. If I go it will be a little earlier in the morning.

I didn't realize they Vet specific passes, that is outstanding!!

I can only come in for Saturday . . . sounds like it may make more sense to park off-site (even though I will be in a Corvette) as close as I can than to use General Corvette Parking and be up on the hill? Are the off-site spots still ten bucks like last year?

Leaving from Owings Mills, MD on Saturday @ 4:30 AM in the Ruby. Taking 83 should be the normal 1 1/2 hour drive. Weather seems to be a total 180 from last years rain and chill combined with cheap gas, I predict a record showing. Everyone have fun and look forward to that "sea of glass".

I made a quick run there today, It was a great day ! Not hot or raining like other times. I took a few pics of the cars and my thumb. The early sun made it hard to view the screen. Trying to get them off my phone. Did anyone see the person pushing a cat around in a enclosed stroller? I heard a meow and looked down and saw it.

Vid of Auto X. From my seating position I had a hard time seeing the green light, but timing does not start until you break the beam.

I was able to participate in the car flag picture this year with my red 08! Pretty cool to be part of it.

Oh yes, the cat lady! No, you weren't seeing things. She and her husband are there faithfully. She always has her cats with her and they take walks with her during the day usually in their strollers. Other than that, they usually hang out under their tent and relax. It cracks me up.
One of the sights I will miss this year. I am home caring for two elderly St. Bernards but Czarvette is there taking lots of pics, so I feel like I am part of the Vette action.
Have a great time everyone! It looks to be great weather.

Another jam packed day. Got there at 6 a.m. and by 8 the fun field was pretty full. I'm parked in the Veteran's area, and there were a lot of people who WANTED to park there and just assumed that if they were a veteran, they were allowed to park there. NOPE. You have to have pre registered and have the Veteran's parking sticker on your car or the staff told you to move. More than a few pissed off people. Felt sorry for the staff. One guy even argued that he had a bronze star, but he didn't register so he couldn't park there. Rules are rules.

As usual, the food is way overpriced ($14 for a 4 piece chicken dinner). I didn't spend less than $20 every time my wife and I ate .
Chevy performance is giving out some nice shirts this year. Adam's Polishes was never less than 10 deep at their tent, and the Adam's party tonight was awesome as always. Not only does the guy pay for all the food and booze, but he gave away a TON of product.
Looking forward to tomorrow.

The cat lady has been there for several years now. She hangs out on the Fun Field with a small group under pop up canopy. Got talking to her a couple of years ago, I think she said the cat was a Bengal cat.

I love Adams. They make a quality product, and they're good to their customers. One of their standard touches is handing out ice cold bottles of water to customers in their tent.

Very good times yesterday. Doug from ESC tuned my dads car (2009 Zr1/Stick, LS& manifolds/cats H pipe). The car was like 10/10 before. Now it runs like 11.5/10. Just awesome.

Went from the and ran the first autocross group. Had the quick time of our group out of 8 or 9 drivers with a 47.000. Not bad for the first time autocrossing this car, and the first time autocrossing in years (former region cahmp in F stock in my old Firebird Formula.)
(HPDE has captured my interest!)

A few more runs I could've been in the 45s no doubt! lot of run though, love that throttle steer!

Good show as always.
