Default C7 & Ferrari

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta: The F12 Berlinetta is the fastest Ferrari ever built. Powered by a 6.3-liter V-12, it goes from 0 to 164 mph in 8.5 seconds, or one-tenth of second faster than a Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid travels from 0 to 60 mph. The F12 is also breathtakingly beautiful. And it should be on sale very soon at a price of around $330,000. (Ferrari)

Exactly, total BS.

Do the math guys - that's roughly a 1/4 mile time and trap. With 720 or whatever hp it has, no way in hell an 8s car at 164mph.

In fact, a Veyron SS is no where CLOSE to that time at 1200 hp.

Its a typo. 0-200kph in 8.5 seconds. 200kph is 124mph. That is seriously fast still. 0-124mph in 8.5 seconds!!!!

LOOOOOOOTTA hype on this car and no tests yet. I know it's a high rpm screamer, but I feel like it's still going to shred the relatively small tires or traction control will kill power too much.I know that sounds like an uneducated response, but I think this car's really pushing it. I'll believe it when I see it as they say.

Also, it's rather flattering if(if because his post says nothing about the c7) he's comparing a $350k Ferrari to a $55k corvette.

Car manufactures have been stealing design cues from each other since the first car.

The 599 did 120 mph in 9.5 seconds so it should be realistic for the F12 with more power and better launch control. See Car & Driver's actual test results for the 599 in this link from the 2007 599 GTB.
