May I ask a favor/courtesy of you? I know it's way cold up there in Illinois, but I'd love to see a couple three pics of the front seating area, the pedals, and the 'stick' console, if you can swing it please. I'm way stoked about this 2015 Challenger Hellcat, and want to see about pricing one out for myself too. Thank you, titletaker!

Well, yeah, OK....but it's still 1700 lbs.

The Hellcat powerplant is nothing to sneeze at...an awesome achievement by Dodge/SRT.
However, the REAL "butthurting" is with the Viper Fanbois....a lot of moaning & groaning on their forums.

It has the red suede inserts and the pictures don't give an accurate impression of how good it actually looks. My wife made fun of the pics from the dealer, but said she likes it in person. Interior is so much nicer than the ZR1. The foot pedals are the exact same as the ZR1, the seats are like recaro racing seats with a very comfortable feel an fitment. The gauges and center display are so awesome. You control everything from the touchscreen, including the heated seats. Haven't messed with it much yet, literally sat in the car for 5 minutes just listening to it idle and slightly revving the engine....hearing this car rumble brings an instant smile to your face. Three times louder than the ZR!, but not obnoxious at all. Rumbles just right. Haven't driven it yet, except to move it to the bottom of the driveway. Waiting until Saturday and then taking the girls on a little cruise to Gene and Judes(for all you non-locals, its a legendary hot dog stand) and then most likely putting her away for the winter. My girls are like dad, how can you have that cool car in the driveway and not want to go for a drive. They wanted to go for a drive last night, but its 25 degrees and roads are wet, so no chance of taking our maiden voyage in those conditions.

Too difficult to pick between a Vette and a Mopar, so I have one of each.

Interesting how the 60 grand hellcat has captured the Halo image for the dodge brand where the viper used to hold that title...

Just goes to show how greedy dealers and raising prices can affect the desirability of a halo product...

I believe at 85 grand the viper was there....yet when it releases with massive price increases and "market adjustments" the public balked big time....

Quick thinking and a supercharged hellcat challenger and charger now hold that title for the dodge brand....alongside the viper....

I see the entire dodge brand on a new light....I realize it's less than logical but since the hellcat I laugh as I see the entire brand moving up in possibility for consideration....

I think the dodge boys hellcat stole the show from ford as it released the mustang.....which is something ford tends to do to gm.....lol....

I still prefer corvettes but always admire other brands such as the challenger and mustangs....

It is a 1970 with a 4 speed and of course, the 6 barrel 390 horse motor.
Complete 3 year rotisserie restoration before I bought it

I love the fact that Dodge recognized the problem with the Viper, and are actively trying to fix it. They changed their allocation process for the Hellcat to ensure dealers who are actually selling the cars get the allocation, and help keep ADM down so that their new "Halo" car gets on the road.

if you want a car that can go fast in a straight line buy a Hellcat.
if you want a car that can go fast in a straight line and can corner buy a Z06.
