Sadly for the Dodge boys, in a typical street race (0-60 MPH), the new Tesla model S sedan (0-60 in 3.2 sec) will smoke the Charger Hellcat. The icing on the cake is the Tesla's gas mileage - the equivalent of 85 MPG.

But for what the Tesla sells for you can buy two Charger Hellcats.

Clearly, the Hellcat is not for you. For YOUR typical race a GT-R serves YOU best.

The coolness factor of a Tesla is zilch.

On what planet is a typical street race 0-60 mph? I have been in plenty, never once have I raced 0-60.

Pay zero attention to any of his posts, unless you look for comedy, look up some of his other comparisons for a good laugh .

I really don't know much about this car or the tesla brand in general, but that car looks like an everyday 4 door Toyota, Nissan etc...
(Insert any brand)

, because gas mileage is so important to people who buy sports or muscle cars.

Carlos Largos rocks!

I dig his reporting style. Had me laughing throughout the video...

Yes, in Nebraska, street races can go on for miles, but within large cities, where most of the population lives, a race beyond stoplight to stoplight is rare. Thus, the Tesla rules. And no, you can't buy two Charger hellcats with the money this Tesla costs. Besides, within 5 years, that $10,000 savings will be sucked up by the 10 MPG consumption.
And yes, if you loved the flaming chicken firebirds of the 70s, that would explain your love of the Charger look.

In review he says Charger is heavier than the Challenger - I thought it was other way around. Mags even have the Charger quicker than the Challenger which contradicts this review. Either way, I'd love one parked next to my Z06 one day!!!!!!

The charger should handle better than the challenger, it always has in the past. Much more balanced feel. I drove all of the srt vehicles at the dodge proving grounds in Michigan 2yrs ago for a special event that 200 select employees from across the country got to attend. We got to drive the **** out of them all day. I also went to srt experience track day at Daytona a couple years ago and did the same there. challenger hellcat is like 4500lbs have they posted weight of charger version yet? My 2012 300 srt8 is like 4400lbs without supercharger so I guess it is possible.

Actually that guy is right about 0-60 racing.....it's just plain stupid on crowded streets with possible pedestrians and limited traction with today's high hp cars which could possibly send the car sideways or kick the tail out into the other lane. Mind you, I'm talking rwd.....but dude racing from a roll eliminates some of the biggest dangers on the street. The joke is on you in this thread.

Stupid or not is not the point. Nobody races 0-60. Nobody. Find me a single street race video where to cars line up to race and shut it down at 60. Then I show you 10,000 where they don't.
