I saw that advertised in today's paper - almost makes me want to do a Hello Kitty tribute on a Corvette. Where does Walter park his during the day?

If we replace the red with pink, we could easily change the "Superman" edition Stingray to the "Hello Kitty" edition Stingray. With a graphic of the kitty itself on the hood.
Whose car should we experiment with? Could get a whole 'nother crowd interested in Corvettes...

I'm here, I'm here. Just got back from Cabo and, boy, are my arms tired. (sound of snare drum "rimshot" here). Actually I got back a couple of weeks ago, but needed to unwind. Cabo was great. Kind of like the French Riviera, with potholes and time share hucksters. Maybe I'll send pictures, maybe not.
Took a drive this afternoon to put a few miles on my new tires. Stopped by LJ to see the new yellow on a ZO6 they had in the showroom. Not sure I like it.Compared to VY is looks almost pastel in shade. They also had a Laguna Blue stingray coupe with Z51 which I thought looked pretty nice with the chrome wheels. I considered making an offer, but it had a couple of things I didn't want...like
Laguna Blue paint
Z51 package
Transparent top
8 speed auto
red brake calipers
Premium sound system (just perfect I suppose for listening to talk radio)
magnetic ride control
and on and on
What's up with the navigation system with some integrated piece that manages your track times? Is it programmed with maps of all the race tracks? I guess it's the sort of thing that might save me some embarrassment in hat I wouldn't have to stop every few laps to ask for directions. Mary's got Nav in her Mazda and I'm still trying to figure it out after 6 months. It is pre-prograsmmed to get us to every casino in Washington and neighboring states, but gives us instructions to take the long way home. Probably needs an update.
Oh, but we were talking about the new LB C7 weren't we? I have to say the color is growing on me but I think it's just the chrome wheels, which would have made my Mazda Protege look good.
They put the pressure on me to take it home, but since I'd been drinking the scotch I got at the duty-free shop in Cabo all day, I managed to resist. At least I think I did. I have to say however, I was treated with the courtesy and attention I normally don't seem to get at the Porsche store. Well, until they took my keys from me, checked out the Aero Lightweight (one of 42) and gave me an estimate. The offer was reasonable, the payments were not and I'm getting tired of asking my daughter to cosign for me on loans of this size. Anyway, I am still not sure I like the new yellow either.
Oh, BTW, the new Raised White Letter "Desert Duelers" I got from Discount tire in Redmond are actually pretty nice.
Sorry I forgot about the "Hello Kitty" museum thing. I do heartily endorse the idea of a special edition C7 edition. After all, wasn't there a "Transformers" edition of the Camaro?
So, "Hasty Winnebagos" or whatever that expression of friendship was they used in Cabo when hey tossed me out of the Cantina. I blame Mary.
Oh, did I tell you I was back?

Phil, if you are interested in learning more about the performance data recorder let me know and I'd be glad to show you the features. If you get NAV you get the PDR!

I'm sure the PDR is great for people who like to track their car. I almost never do and even on the odd occasion when I do, I would rather turn up the stereo, which depending on the music, can be good for a couple seconds a lap. I'm in no hurry. If I have to spend, say, $150 or more to get on the track, I want to get my money's worth and stay out there as long as possible. What's the big deal with, say, a 1:25 lap time when you can spend two minutes or more out there?
No, none of these "aids" for me. I have a 1LT with a mn6 and after nearly 9 years of owning it, still enjoy it for the sheer pleasure of driving it. Even on trips, my wife rarely drives it so why have memory seats and other "gadgets" that add no real pleasure to the driving experience. There are times when I wish I had HUD, but when I've tried it it makes me think of staring at a rock chip in the windshield. I have added a few minor accessories over the years, like a cargo cover, which is useful, and a cargo mat which also helps keep the rear compartment out of the sun, but have no complaints at all.
That said, like many, the Corvette is a third car, but that alone might be one thing I had not considered. It's nice to have a low mileage well maintained and very shiny car, but it really would make a good daily driver too. As I continue to look at C7's and watch the ads for used C6's, there doesn't seem to be any shortage of other low mileage Corvettes. So even with my low miles, I doubt if mine would command much of a premium. Since I'm retired, If I do decide to get a new C7, I may very well get rid of my Mazda too. I don't know what I'd do with a PDR or NAV. Nissan produced a base version of their 350Z a few years ago. they called it an enthusiast's edition. That's the sort of thing I enjoy about my '07. No frills, no bells and whistles, no heated seats, Just 400 hp of high mileage fun driving anywhere I decide to go. I know how to get to Monterey, San Francisco and most of the Indian Casinos in the neighboring 3 states. And I'm never in any rush to get there.
Just sayin' BTW are you still living up here in Plateaupia? Seems like I rarely see you anymore.
Thanks for the input and offer though. I'm happy.
