For what it is worth...Why not try wet sanding it with 400 grit. That way you will be ready for paint.
Also...so if you have any concerns.. Shoot some of your slicksand on something and then wet sand it with the 400 grit and paint on it and see how it worked out. this polyester primer is so stout ...that the heartaches form the 440 grit wet sand paper is not that bad to cause for seeing sand scratches in your paint. Give it a try.

Sorry I didn't post photos as I promised. I lightly dry sanded with 220 today but didnt pull it out of the garage. Everything looks well covered and straight. Tomorrow 320 and 400 wet along with photos. Regards

Still blocking down to 400. I'm now questioning if the weather will hold out for paint. Temp now is maxing out in the mid 70's. It's 60 now at daybreak.

I'm almost done #400 blocking the SandSlick in these photos. I was sanding inside but the weather was nice enough yesterday to pull it out and wash it off - and to see some spots that needed additional sanding. Taking DUB's advise, after these photos were taken, I took off (suprisingly without incident) the windshield trim. I can pull back the rear top trim enough and ducktape it to the rear glass so I will leave that in place - I'm afraid of breaking off clips. I am getting the windshield replaced because mine is so pitted that driving into sun glare became an unsafe situation.

Go on Evercoats website for more details. I used 2 gallons which gave me 6 full coats. I needed 5 bottles of the mold release. I bought it from Boaters Plus ( FWIW). Nasty stuff - have good ventilation and a good mask. Clean gun completly after you finish each cup in the gun.
