Default '71 firewall fiberglass

Hi All

I have removed the firewall from my '71 vert and am doing a number of repairs. I have to repair a few cracks and holes in the fiberglass. Was wondering whether anyone knows what type of resin was used in the '71 firewall.

Thanks for your help.

Should be polyester.

If you want to be on the safe side, Dynatron has a polyester resin that works on both polyester as well as the early SMC used in '71. Although SMC was only used on the quarter panels in '71 many OEM replacement panels were SMC. I bought a NOS rear deck and it is SMC. It's Dynatron 692 (qt) and 694 (gallon).
