Default Baby cam + Tune in my Z06 - Results

When talking with the guy at the shop that did the install and tune I told him I wanted a cam that was a 4-5/10 on the mild to aggressive side.
I'm pretty happy with the results. The cam is really tame actually. The car idles at 700rpm with only the most slight lope. There's no surging when cruising at low rpms. I did lose a little fuel economy, 7.3L/100km to 8.3L/100km but that was with the AC on for the later #.

I have a video of the dyno and some street starts, but I need to buy something to get the video from RCA plugs into my PC.

Car:
2002 Z06
LG longtube headers w/ cats
Halltech CAI
Texas Speed 224/224, .581, 114LSA
Hardened pushrods
Comp 918 valve springs
Billet Double roller timing gear set

The biggest hp and tq gains were both at 6420rpm:
356.5whp to 399whp = +42.5whp
292wtq to 327wtq = +35ft-lbs wtq

Max hp was +36.5whp, and max tq was +26ft-lbs

The car definitely feels faster. I can't wait to get some rubber and hit the track on a Wednesday night with good air (I'm at 3600' and the DA is usually 5000'+).

Did this increase come from just the cam and tune, or did you put on the CAI and headers on at the same time? If the CAI and headers are the before numbers, do you have the numbers from when it was stock? Thanks for sharing

I don't have stock #'s.
The before is with the CAI and headers, no tune.
The after is with the cam and tune.

Congrats!

Thanks for the Vid! I was talking with John today at Texas Speed about buying their H/C Package using the same cam.
