I bought a micro add a fuse tap at Autozone and plugged it into the front fuse box fuse that is labled ignition even so it only powers up when the car is powered on.

I crimped the positive wire to the add a tap and grounded the negative side to the ground bolt on the frame rail just in front of the fuse box.

I know you said to plug in the even #28 on my fuse box, and I did and this all works well. I just wanted to know if there was another fuse I can tap into without starting the motor. Did not want to take a chance of trying everyone of the fuses did not wan to blow on. Just t thought you might know of one. I followed your instructions and it was great. Thank you and hope you can reply syswayne

I never looked for another fuse to tap since I would have no reason to use the front cam if the engine wasn't running. Why would you want to have the camera running all the time or even when the motor is off?

Reverse camera display

[QUOTE=red 1;1592290858]Just bought this wifi wireless unit and camera that displays on my Iphone for $38.00, not 1080hd but good enough to not ruin front bumper and new splitter.

I bought the same kit as pictured, with the same camera, how do I change the display to forward looking?

Here's what I did:

I found that camera would not let you reverse the image, so I purchased a better camera that you can; reverse the image, change the grid size and the grid pattern.

The camera sells for about $15.00. I would also purchase a RCA Video Coupler and RCA DC Power Audio Video AV Extension Cable. It will give you a lot more distance to be able to mount the WiFi Box. Here are the links to these items.

If you run into any more questions post them here or PM me.

Due to the potential issues with this sealed camera (I don't mind the guidelines but I do not want the view reversed), I ordered a different one from Amazon. You can make all the adjustments outside the camera with by clicking one button.

I should have it tomorrow. Even with the cost for the additional camera, it is still a great deal compared to the other bundles out there.

I've added to cart the camera, the extra length wire, and the female to female jacks that you suggested. I still need the wifi box correct? Where can I find it?

To protect the button, I built up narrow tape strips on both sides of the button to be higher than the button height. I then put a piece of shrink wrap over the entire length of the button module and about 1/3 inch past. Then shrunk the shrink wrap around the module to protect from water/dirt.
Note: The tape is built up so the shrunk- shrink wrap will not press on the button.

I also put shrink wrap over the yellow video and red power connectors, once connected, to protect the connections from water and make sure they do not come apart..

Half of my order came in today, camera and wifi box. Still waiting on extension jacks and female to female couplers. Left side of photo shows DC in with tiny gauge wires (red and black). Is this what goes to fuse box? What do I need to make that connection? Then you can see the red/yellow jacks from box to camera. This is where the extension will go once it gets delivered. Why did I need to purchase the female couplers? Do i not have everything lined up correctly?

The black wire goes to any frame ground and the red wire connects to the the fuse tap that is placed on a fuse that is only on when the ignition is on.

The female couple is because the extension video cable is male on both sides.

Used the Micro Fuse Tap to the Ignition Even Fuse. This insures that the camera is only on when the car is running.

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...3ae18f16d6.jpg

Cut a small slit in the fuse using a Dremel to prevent the wire from getting pinched.
Taped all the connections together to keep them from pulling apart

Used a small nut to prevent the camera adjustment button and them covered with vinyl tape to waterproofed the Camera Adjustment Box
