Another reason the stock DS can't be used is because the RG's output shaft has 32 splines vs. 27 for OEM and I can't find a 27 spline slip yoke w/ 1310+1310 U joints. If there's one, then I'd go for that but it will have to be a quick release type. So our choices are very limited.

Tom's solution would definitely work for you. I know a lot of people here have run the combo joint, even on the transmission end, to use the stock driveshaft. I think that is what all the TKO conversions run, and used with some high hp engines. Those transmissions run so far back into the tunnel that in some cars the 1330's don't even fit.
