Default This dyno will blow your mind!#@$%^

Tony's Corvette has been hearing good things about our intake for the C7 Z06, and just ordered 5 more.

I asked him how the dyno numbers turned out. His words verbatim:
Hi Jim
We put your cold air intake on with headers and got about 90 HP. I will put the next one on by itself and give you the results.
Thanks
Tony

I'm sold on this intake. Certainly appears to be the low hanging fruit for horsepower Anyone doing installs at Carlisle?

Congrats Jim! I'm anxious to see the dyno with just the CAI by itself too.

90 HP with just a air filter change. WOW..

Does that filter come with a bigger blower?

I believe he said the 90hp was with the filter and headers. Still exceptional if true.

It fits very snug tight and perfect. If it is installed it needs to be all the way down and in place.

You heard this from someone who simply failed to get it installed all the way in place during the install. Once you recheck and make sure it is in place they fit great.

Freaked Ls3 has a A8 2015 with a Halltech and 2 inch AR Headers
teamed with a tune on a mustang dyno.

At the same tuner who does all my tunes. Wong's Performance Engineering. Stock was 530 rwhp

Halltech, headers and tune was 603. We have seen Callaway A8 do 605
rwhp. I would say the combo nets easy 90 hp.

You can you look up the dyno sheets by searching Freaked's post.

I called today to try to get my headers installed. I'm still waiting
with my Jethot coated ARH 2 inch waiting to go on.

Since "intake only" would likely be a common mod, do any of the vendors provide a tune, or guidance?

If I own HPTuners (which I do) seems a shame to reinvent the wheel if a dozen or more people have already tuned this exact engine for this exact part!

In fact, if someone can provide an HPT file, I'll buy a darned intake. I think I'm convinced, just have no interest in tracking down a tuner to make it all work.

I think this will be the first mod I do after I buy my Z06 next summer. I wonder what just the intake and a Diablosport tune would get me....don't plan on doing headers.

I've posted 19 dynos over 50 RWHP over the past year and a half, and you still have doubts? No credibility after 17 years here. but c'mon.

Actually, I'm just Trumping with you.

I'll reach out to our dealer or you can. He just ordered 5 more, so he must be pleased.
