Default satin or gloss black wheels?

Looking at satin or gloss black wheels for red 2005 c6. Either z06 or z51 style. Think both styles will look good however struggling with satin or gloss look.

Also, which shows less road grime and cleans up better or does it not matter?

Well you did'nt mention the shade of red. If the car is the glossy bright red it will go better with glossy wheels, but will show dirt and dust more. If the car is the darker metallic red, satin will blend in better with the car and hide the grime slightly better. It's still your choice in the end. If your car is bright red either wheel shade will look good.

Sorry, magnetic red, and it really has a brighter glossy look especially in the sunlight even though the shade of red is a bit darker. Leaning toward the gloss. Thanks for your opinion.

I've had both and my suggestion would be gloss. It's easier to keep clean. Satin or matte look old and dirty a lot quicker IMO! First pic is my 5th gen Camaro with satin black F14's on red, second pic is gloss black C6 Z06 on my Sunset orange.

I would answer your question sir, but I do not see the correct answer among your list of choices.

I have satin...actually flat. Prefer that look but a chore to keep from spotting when you wash the car. The extra work is worth it to me.

I don't think there is a correct answer. I do know you have to take more caution when cleaning gloss wheels. Scraping filthy nasty dirt around a glossy surface leads to scratching that is easily visible.

Those wheels look fantastic! As far as cleaning, I rinse and wash with car shampoo using an Adams wheel brush. I haven't had any issues with scratching!

I use micro fiber towels and final inspection after they are dry.

I went satin. Was the look I was going for.
But like someone said. Gloss is easy to scratch.

Get what you like best. You will never get everyone to agree on anything here.

I went gloss black to match my paint.

Sounds like pros and cons are a wash and it's all about personal choice.

Leaning toward gloss. All the pics look great!

Thanks for the input.
