Default Anyone Making "Lemans" Style headlights for C4?

Looking for the older style lemans style headlights with the Hella lights. I don't care for the only projector style headlights I have been able to find.

Going to be installing racing style headlights in the carbon fiber hood going on my '95 ZR1

These are what I'm looking for...

They have changed their name and I have posted a link for you below. I always felt if they had made the lens out of glass it would have been worth the price point they were asking. JMHO GC

Judging by NRRs list of cars and projects I'm thinking it won't be a problem.

Wow, they are a little pricey, I really liked to look of the old style with the raised lenses instead of the flat lenses. The Carbon Fiber hood I'm going to be using doesn't have headlights currently, just trying to stay with a race theme.

Has anyone ever used the C5 projector headlights on a C4? I know there is a bit contour to them, but since I have flexibility on the location didn't know if they would work, possibly pushed towards the outside edge of the hood to match up contour.

If I was going to do something custom, I wouldn't use C5 headlights, I'd throw a set of projectors into housings down in the foglights and call it a day. A set of Hi/Lo projectors with some nice HID or LED bulbs and be done.

It would take some doing, but you could remove the motors and doors and fab some buckets up out of fiberglass to fit in there?

Put the lights in those..

An elegant solution, but before investing time and money in it, I'd check DOT regulations. That may put the headlights below the minimum legal height. (And if it wouldn't, I'm in. )

They probably do... but who cares? You'll never get pulled over for it as long as they work, and most inspection places just check that you have lights that work, not where they are on the car.

If you can get away with doing that, it might save you from butchering an expensive and beautiful hood if your transplant doesn't turn out like you envisioned it in your head.

I'm liking the idea of custom lights in the front bumper, going to be adding a splitter and support turnbuckles so not too worried about screwing up the bumper.

I'm wondering if there are some stock headlight assembly's that would be thin enough to work.....

Thanks for the suggestions!

Late 4th gen Camaro headlights are pretty thin. I think a lot of people use 4x6 housings and throw a projector inside those. As long as you've got the projector coming out of an opening, the rest of the housing can be behind plastic. You might even be able to find a small 3" diameter circular housing to throw a projector in the back of.

I actually run a quad hid retrofit on my car, with morimoto fxr 2.0 projectors for my headlights, and a mini h1 retrofitted in the fog light housings. Light output from my car is nothing short of full retard

basically you take the foglight housing, cut the back of it open, put projector in. The hard part is getting the cutoff decent.

The projectors are held to the housings with JB steel stick, which gives you good time to aim them before the epoxy fully sets up.

The light output would be even better if the lens of the fog light housing was removed, it blurs the cut off line a little bit but the projectors still put out enough light that I would trust them for daily driving.

The picture I posted is only low beams. These are bi-xenon, so they're hi/low and run in tandem with my main headlights.

When I hit the switch for high beams, all 4 of my lights go into "high fire" and light output is amazing. They're all 55w kits with 5000k bulbs
