Default Chapman Chevrolet, PHILADELPHIA

Hey guys,
I see that Chapman Chevrolet in Philadelphia have really attractive prices on new corvettes.
http://www.chapmansellschevys.com/

for example new GS for 55k.

What am I missing? How come the prices are lower than the others?

That's a good question. I thought I got a great price from Kerbeck six weeks ago. But not that good

They have a ton of GS models at $54k. C7's at $43k.

Gonna be pretty hard for sellers to keep asking $50 plus for their 2014 Corvette!

Best case scenario, you would need to qualify for all rebates/incentives available to get that price.

If it looks too good to be true....

I don't think they would be able to pull any tricks on you, ah but LimeRay is right on the discounts. They don't even have a ton of inventory, so they don't even deal in volume. Those prices are great if they have one you want. They will surely try to upsell you on dealer extras like many other dealers would.

So are you a Farm Bureau Member? Do you have a late model Corvette already? Are you going to finance? If you're not, you don't qualify for those offers.

We belong to Farm Bureau, as members you qualify for as many rebate certificates a year as new Chevrolet (s) you purchase, any family member in your house hold may use the certificate, we have used as many as three per year when our daughters still lived with us.

When we bought my wife's new 2016 Corvette we got supplier pricing, used our GM Card earning with an addition of $2500.00 bonus cash and the Farm Bureau discount certificate for $500.00.

Farm Bureau also offers certificates on Polaris ATV products.

For $50.00 annual membership dues it has been worth it for us.

99% of buyers don't qualify for their bottom line price. It looks good to get you there than they try hard to sell you the car. They will tell you that you didn't qualify for all the rebates but here is what you did. They are banking on the idea that you will say ok I will still buy it.

Got my 2017 Stingray at Kerbeck. Discounted almost $6000 plus $1500 rebate. Didn't have to qualify for anything. Under $49,000.

Philadelphia and surrounding counties are pretty much wall to wall urban, kinda hard to find a farm in a city that only has two, both owned by the city one used as a demo/park, the other an ag. school. Chapman is pretty safe boasting those prices.

As one that grew up in South Central Penna., and a former sworn member of Pennsylvania's finest I would have thought that, but understand that one does not need to have a farm or ranch to be a Farm Bureau member, as with most things these days, if you express an interest you can join. The benefits are there if one cares to use them. We may now reside in S/W Montana but still buy our Chevrolets in Thompsontown Pennsylvania as we have for over 30 plus years.

demasterz,
Good for you coming to the forums asking this question. This is a great place to get a feel for what a good price is on a new or used Corvette. It doesn't hurt to let any dealer you're seriously bargaining with, know you're a member of Corvette Forums. When I was searching about a year ago, I found knowledgeable dealers are aware of the forums and respect the members.
