Worth of leftover 2015 Z06/3LZ
While I wait to order a 2017 from one of the forum dealers, I happened upon a leftover 2015 White/Vert/Z06/Z07/3LZ +++, MSRP at 108. Yes... Z07 convertible, what were they thinking...
I was wondering what the collective thinks this, now two year old, Corvette could, or should, be worth.
I mentioned to the dealer what discounts I have been offered by the forum dealers when ordering a 2017, but this dealer says they cannot compete with the big'uns because they are a small dealer and thus do not get the same discounts.

2016 with 96 MSRP was sold for 77. Discount was 10% + 10%. From a small town dealer who wanted to move the car.
Essentially 2017 you can get for 10% off from forum dealer.
2016 20% off if you can find it on a lot.
so the 2015 would have to be 30% off for it to be worth it.
Used values are slightly lower and support these figures.
Offer them $70k and walk. Its not worth more than $75k. They can only sit on it for so long. Can't believe they still have a 2015.

I could only imagine they paid for it as opposed to be paying the financing fee to gm for it. because it would be gone by now.
like others have said 70k or walk. ask them what the trad in value is for a 500 mI 2015 Z06 of similar options and ask them how they expect for you to offer more than a thousand or two more?

I got $20k off on my 106k MSRP 16 Z Vert. So figure $30k or a bit over. Maybe $75k would be a good deal. My Q would be what the heck have they been doing with it??
All it is doing in sitting in their showroom depreciating. So the longer they hold it the less it is worth.

Yeah, some were getting 22-24% on late '16s. 29-30% would seem resonable for a '15, although, that's probably why the dealership still has it.
They were possibly asking an ADM in '15, and are struggling to grasp the recent supply and demand anomaly affecting current sales.
If you can get a great deal, go for it... you still get the 3/36 from the date of purchase, but as you mentioned... it's a 2 year old car, and the depreciation is exponentially greater than the '17.

Well, I sent the dealer an email suggesting that if they want to sell it, they need to offer about 30k off.
And, along these lines...
Today I found another 2015 Z06 Black/Blue or Blue/Black... Guess they're more out there than we realize.

Look at what a used 15 Z06 convertible is worth and that's what to pay. You drive off show room floor and it's worth that price because it's a used car.

The car is worth what the market will bear not what the dealer can make money on. A year ago I paid 13% off retail for a leftover 15 3LZ/Z07 two top car with a $105K MSRP. This year you can make the same or better kinds of deals on leftover 16s. As somebody else said 30% off MSRP or around $76K is probably about the going rate.
You are giving up some features by buying the 15 over a newer model. The front camera, the 17 cooling changes and a truly new car.

I agree with pretty much everyone on here. I just bought a NEW 2016 with 3 miles on her, manual z06/z07. MSRP was north of 102k and I got the car for 83 and change.

I just found something similar, 76 for a 103 MSRP (I'll start another thread). In the mean time, I await what price the dealer of the 2015 comes back with.
The deals are out there, especially if one is flexible on color within a model configuration.

I agree with what MikeyTX said...
This will be my comeback if the dealer balks at offering a "screaming deal". (that's what I was told they could offer on a stock unit).

I have seen a lot of dealers with 15-20% off I would say at least that. Just look around if they don't want to move on it. Heck its already 2 model years old now....better be more than 20% off.
