Anyone Run 305's on stock rears? (Basemodel)
I'm in the market for a new set of tires, and after some research I'm pretty set on getting a set of the Pilot Supersports i keep hearing so much about.
Although, i remember hearing at one point and time about being able to run 305's on the stock 19x10's can anyone elaborate on this? Or even link me to a thread thats already done that?
PS: yes, i tried the search feature, but that thing wouldnt know a snake if it bit it.
Thanks!

305/35/19 MSS Yes, on 10" rims.
305/30/19 MSS No, minimum 10.5" rim.
Why, because the "30" series tire has one inch more tread width which will only roll up on the shoulders of a 10" rim. May cause some instability at higher speeds. No benefit running a wider tread on a narrow rim if the contact patch is lifted or rolled up.
"35" series tire has 10.7" tread width.
"30" series tire has 11.7" tread width.
I am running 305/30/19 Michelin Super Sport tires on 10.5" rims, no problems.

Where exactly might this documentation be? Im having an awful hard time finding it among all the "it puts too much un-needed stress" responses.

I had 305's on the rear of my 2005 coupe, stock wheels, with absolutely no problems whatsoever. They were still on it when I traded it for the Z06. I lost all of m pictures or I would post one (bad flash drive, lost 625 pics). Not sure it helped with traction, but it looked good.

I'm running 305's in the rear of my base and I've haven't had any issues to date.

I ran 265 on 9.5in and 305 on 11in.
I change out back to stock widths after a year.
I felt the wider tires made the steering feel slow. The car just wasn't a nimble.
Now this is on the street, no track time.

A 305 needs a 10.5 - 11.5 width rim. with 11 in being center hit.
Putting a 305 on a stock 10 in rim is not recommended by tire mfgs.
Ya it will fit but no optimally.
Why do this with a performance car?

Rear: 305/30/19 MSS with 19X10.5 TSW Interlago rims.
My speedo was about 2 mph off at 60 mph, but I corrected it in the tune.
Front and rear diameter 1" difference and no issues with Traction control.

305s are the largest I believe.....it rides nice, i used the spacers at the auto parts store and the lug nuts that extend deeper into the rim for more grip.....im not sure of the exact name of lug nuts....you'll need em thou if you run the spacers ....

it's possible but all you need to do is adjust the lowering bolts
