Rear bearing issue?
Guys, I removed the trailing arms to replace the bushings and weld the p-brake bracket on top.
But on the driver side I cannot fluently rotate the hub; it turns kind of choppy.
How much of trouble am I in?

Sounds like you need new bearings....I just went thru this on my 72, it's not that bad of a job once you have the trailing arms off. You will need the proper tools or you can send them off to be rebuilt.

Try jacking the trailing arm up a bit and try again, sometimes the U/J's bind when the arms are dropped right down with no weight on them, much cheaper than bearings

If it's binding on the bench, then yes, you should pull it completely apart and rebuild / reshim / re-grease your bearings (and do the other side while you're at it...if one side is in need, the other side can't be far behind).
Like Grahamred70 said though, if you experience a binding during rotation while everything is still on the car and the rear is jacked up with the wheels in the air, the U/J's can exhibit a similar symptom.

It is on the bench. Other side requires some force, but still smooth.
Too bad I'm in Europe, otherwise I'd just ship 'm out for rebuild.
Ah well, now I can send them off for powder coating, merely painting them would be too much of a contrast with the front A-arms I did last summer

Not sure about Corvette specialists in Holland but Scott at Corvette Kingdom in UK can probably fix you up if you need assistance?

After watching the video there is no doubt you need bearing work and I hate to say it you may have a bad spindle and or a bearing housing as well.

I'm not either by any means...But with as rough as they are with no load/weight on them just imagine it going down the road. Two things can happen....The bearing can spin on the spindle and/or the race can spin inside the bearing housing. That doesn't mean those parts will not be usable...? Only way to know for sure is to pull them apart and that will take some special tools.
There are a few good youtube videos out there that will help you understand just what all it takes to do this project.

You just need to send them to a reputable and qualified rebuilder and let them disassemble and determine what needs to be done. I would be surprised that there is not a mechanic in your vicinity that is qualified to work on such 'captured' bearing systems; they would have the tools and skills need to do a good job on these. All you would need is the necessary replacement parts....as would the suggested rebuilders.
It's likely that you would need to refurbish the parking brake systems, as well...unless those were reworked previously.
