At how many folks haven't caught on to shops who perform cylinder head work leading them on to believe they need new cylinder heads.

I'm sure some were bad, but geez.

You are obviously looking to intentionally create dissension here and I doubt the moderators on this forum will allow more of these post from you. Your first thread this week stated the exact same opinion which makes it clear that you are now just trolling.

I'm not trolling. I honestly believe that some vendors cashed in on cylinder head repairs by purposely driving fear and paranoia among Z06 owners.

Additionally, I'd like to add that I'm not here to create dissension in this forum or break forum rules. I would appreciate if you would stop making things up.

So how much gloating can we do when a valve of yours drops and your block is cracked?

Just curious, ya know, for science.

I purchased a warranty just in case.

Wait.. If this issue is truly blown out of proportion on Internet forums and vendors are "cashing in" on this blown out of proportion issue, then why buy the warranty?

 Ahh, we know the answer...

In fact, show me a post from a vendor that was NOT in response to a member asking for help with heads out of spec.

The only guy running around waving the "sky is falling with LS7 cylinder heads" banner was Chad, and he's not allowed on here most of the time, nor is he a forum vendor.

So, once again, your post smells like city..

You are only discrediting yourself here. The fact that you purchased an extended warranty to cover any issues that could arise from cylinder head/valve geometry design problems only confirms that you yourself believe there is a chance that something could possibly happen to your own vehicle. That alone is your acknowledgement and completely destroys your argument that an issue exists. If that weren't enough, you are now further stretching to making accusations that forum vendors have orchestrated fear to sell their product.

Make an attempt to at least support your argument with actual data if you really believe that forum vendors are misleading people to buy into a cylinder head service/fix that they don't need. The fact that you are on this crusade and bought an extended warranty gives your argument zero platform to stand on.

That's the definition of trolling.

You know what? No one needs new wheels or cold air intakes or exhausts or radios either but we still buy them. I've paid way more for those mods than I did to get my heads "fixed." The vendors selling those other "upgrades" push their products on us way more than shops do to fix the heads. It's all relative, brother.

This guy is a lunatic. Mods should delete both threads and forget about his existence.

This info doesn't exclusively come from shops. If it did, you might have somewhat of an argument.

Fact is, there are countless example of OWNERS who wrench on their own cars verifying the issue.

Not to mention the number of LS7s destroyed by a dropped valve.

That's because of your ignorance.

I came here studied, and sent my heads in before my warranty was up.

4 guides out of spec.

Most heads factually do have out of spec guides, many came from the factory that way.

Worn guides does not mean instant failure but odds increase dramatically.

The bleach might be a bit beyond his budget after the 'massive expense' of fixing the heads though...

Me too, except I used a different shop and 14 of 16 were OOS.
