Default New C5 Owner in DFW / Carrollton Area -> need advice

Hello Texans!
I'm new to the area and new to my '03 EB coupe. Pics here. I have a few questions about where to some work done. I listed what I'm looking for below.

1. Window tint - Dang it's hot here.... Looking for a good tint shop; will drive for quality and $ savings

2. Targa top repair - I have a 3 inch scratch in the acrylic top. I asked the Chevy dealer for help and they told me I could only buy a new one

3. Paint the "halo" black - anyone had this done in the area? Good place to go? Price?

Thanks!

Welcome neighbor, You might want to give Extreme Motorsports in Frisco a call. They can help you with all that. You did real good on that trade.

I know of a good tint shop in Mckinney... Sits off of Eldorado and HWY 5... Can't miss it. Had my Firehawk, and Avalanche done there... Great guys..Excellent work.

Are they good enough to get the tint to stick to the entire back window or do they run into the same problem as most with the dots preventing adhesion?

Is the tint not sticking on the rear window a common problem? Ed, did you have your tint done in Dallas?

Yeah, most of the C5's I've seen with tinted glass have the same lack of adhesion at the very top center of the rear glass because of the numerous dots in that location. If I could find a place that could get the tint to stick I'd have mine pulled off and have them do it all over again.

My tint was done by Allure in Waxahachie. The places that OH1 and FedEx mentioned are much closer to you. I'm just the oddball that lives down on the south side so I tried to find a place closer to me.

I used SML in Lewisville. They did a very good job. As far as the back window, they put a peice of black vinyl over the dots, it looks very good.

Can you send me a PM with their phone & address? I'd like to see if they could do the same for me, and then I could get rid of my bowtie.

I have used them twice and a buddy has used them. They were great all 3 times.

Is around 200 bucks a reasonable price for 3 windows?

Tritek window tinting is one of the best in the area.
I prefer Trade Secret in Plano for paint/body repair.

I'm getting 35 on the sides and 5 in the back tomorrow. I'll post the results after.

I'll be searching for a place to paint the "halo" black afterwards. I haven't got an actual quote yet and would like to see what the cost will be.
