Default Need recommendation ASAP: NT05 or Ecsta XS

Just got the car last week and I knew the fronts weren't in good shape. 2004 Coupe on Z06 motorsports rims. Well, now that I've seen them off the car, my front tires are way worse than I thought. I need to at least order something tonight. I had the Nittos on the front of my camaro for about 2 weeks before it got stolen. Rode pretty smooth and had great grip. I've used other Kumhos, but never the XS series. Car will not be going 186mph anytime soon, but it may see 140+ a couple times a month. I think Y rated is overkill, but I would also think its safer to run ~150mph on tires rated for 186 than on tires rated for 168. I try as hard as possible not to drive it in the rain, but I would prefer something that won't immediately put me in a ditch just driving the speed limit on a wet road.

You might be stuck with the NT05 for now. Ive been trying to get a set of the XS's for a couple months now and the fronts are still on backorder as far as i know. Stock z06 sizes at least(or close to it)

Need to know how the Nitto's are working for you? I have a 2007 Z06 needing tires. Can't get the G2 GY's, they are not making them right now according to Discount Tire Online. Still a little afraid to run non RF tires

The Nittos are fine. Haven't cruised much since I bought them, very little aggressive driving. Car sat around most of Dec waiting for a blower, and oddly enough, most of Jan waiting on a new clutch. Go figure. I have probably 1,000-1,500 miles on them and no complaints so far. Run flats are absolutely good for nothing. I would rather pay for Roadside service.

I run the Nitto NTO5's on my track Vette for HPDE events. I really like them and have had good wear out of them. I m not in the advanced group yet but run hard in the intermediate group. I am probably going to R compound after these wear out but have a new set of Nitto's for rain tires.
