The resto job is just part of the “Corvette Cave In: The Skydome Sinkhole Experience,” which opened in 2016. The amazing display helped make lemonade of a sad situation, obviously. But the immense media attention that resulted helped the museum attract a whopping 228,744 visitors in 2017. And as the museum itself stated, “the casualties were luckily just inanimate objects,” after all.

If you can’t make it to the last sinkhole Corvette’s unveiling at the Skydome at 9:00am CT for the unveiling, be sure and tune in to watch it live on the Museum’s Facebook page!
