2017 Corvette Z06 is a Low Mileage, Well Kept Marvel

With the new C8 Corvette officially out and about, it’s easy to forget that the previous generation model kicked ass too. As they age, they’re bound to become excellent options for people on a budget. Additionally, the C7 offered buyers modern tech options that will only get more appealing with time. Well maintained examples will most certainly be highly sought after. And our featured C7 definitely fits the bill in that regard.
This extensively documented 2017 Corvette Z06 recently surfaced on Cars & Bids, a newly launched automotive auction website. Unlike rival websites, featured vehicles have much more information available for prospective buyers. And in this specific case, it’s very helpful. This particular C7 Z06 is basically brand new. Plus, the current owner basically future-proofed it.
One Clean Corvette
If you’ve never heard of Cars & Bids before, that’s because it’s an extremely new auction site for enthusiast cars. It’s actually the brainchild of Doug DeMuro, a popular automotive YouTuber. Clearly, a lot of thought went into the creation of the site. Bidders have access to so much information about featured cars. There is also a robust commenting system. Sellers frequently show up to answer questions about their cars. And each entry contains tons of pictures and documentation.
Fortunately, our featured Corvette is no different. For starters, its history is well documented. The current owner, who purchased it new, has only put about 2,700 miles on it. Additionally, the Z06 comes packaged with the 3LZ Premium Equipment Group. Among other things, that means this Corvette packs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Going forward, those are essential features for any vehicle. Especially as cell phones become more advanced. Perhaps more important are the 20 inch alloys and trim pieces in black. They do an excellent job at complementing the Watkins Glen Gray exterior paint with the Jet Black interior.
Fresh Paint for Years
Clearly, this Corvette has been very well preserved. For a vehicle produced for the 2017 model year, that may not be terribly impressive. At least until you read about the one major addition. In 2018, the owner opted to have Nano-Fusion paint protection professionally installed onto every body panel. That wasn’t cheap. The total cost to have it put on came in at just over $4,300. Obviously, there are benefits to getting something like that done. And it’s clearly an investment that paid off, because the paint looks incredible. It also seems like that particular company is a relatively high-end supplier of paint protection, so it should last quite a while. To make the Corvette even more appealing, the protection comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Accessible Monster
Many purists might scoff at a Z06 with an automatic transmission. But this 2017 model is a fantastic find for someone who wants a performance car that can be regularly driven in stop-and-go traffic. There’s also some additional goodies for the next owner, like an officially branded Corvette battery tender. Plus, the owner swapped out the original Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP tires with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ all season rubber, so the winner will have both to work with. Perhaps most important of all is the fact that the original bumper-bumper warranty is still active until May 2021. That gives the next owner an opportunity to purchase an extended warranty directly from Chevy, if they desire.
Overall, this 2017 Corvette Z06 is a stellar late model rocket. It’s tough to call this car pre-owned because it barely has any mileage on it. If you’ve been looking for a nearly new Z06, this is probably the one you should get. Bidding ends July 16. As of this writing, the highest bid is $45,000. But that figure is bound to increase substantially. That being said, it’s definitely worth checking out!
