Boat That Looks Like a C7 Corvette Makes Waves Everywhere It Goes

C7 Corvette Boat

An Egyptian man wanted to create a rentable vessel that stood out to tourists, so he created this C7 Corvette boat.

Most already know that Corvette boats were a thing years ago, though those vessels actually looked like boats – not sports cars destined for use on land. However, the opposite is true of this C7 Corvette boat recently profiled by Inside Edition. While it obviously isn’t a C7 Corvette, this boat designed to look like one is nothing less than a head-turner out on the water, and it looks absolutely surreal drifting around and making waves in more ways than one.

The Corvette boat is owned by a young Egyptian man and former engineer named Karim Amin, who designed it with the help of two friends. Underneath its unique skin, the boat utilizes the mechanicals of a jet ski. However, that larger body apparently makes it more stable in the water, which translates to more fun when ripping it around the Mediterranean. In fact, Amin says that his creation is “unflippable.”

As one might expect from a jet ski with a Corvette-like body, this thing is also fairly fast, with a top speed of 70 kilometers per hour (43 mph). Amin took great care to source all the parts for his ride locally, and only the engine – made in Japan – comes from outside the country. On the inside, it’s rather luxurious as well, with a full infotainment system, GPS, and Bluetooth connectivity.

So far, Amin and his buddies have built a total of 12 of these Corvette-like boats, which are available to rent on some of Egypt’s more upscale beaches. He also sells them, with the two-seater going for around $19,000-$44,000, depending on how the customer wants it spec’d out. A larger, more family-friendly four-seater is in the works, too.

The whole idea behind these boats was to create something different, something that stood out from the many other jet ski and boat rental places located along these shores. Needless to say, Amin accomplished that goal and more, as he reports that demand has been strong, particularly after videos of his creation have gone viral. Truthfully, it makes us want to rethink our summer vacation plans, too.
