C5 Corvette Takes a Lickin’ and Keeps on Tickin’
Now that it’s that time of year for tornadoes, we’re being reminded of the dangers that come with the season.
From Texas to Arkansas, we’ve been witnessing an all-too familiar scene of the havoc these things can wreak on anything and everything in their line of sight. But throughout it all we’re also reminded of some pretty amazing stories emerging out of the storms, like the one depicted in the video below of a C5 Corvette Z06 starting up after being caught in a tornado.
The ‘Vette, owned by Shane Steelman, is clearly badly damaged, as you can see from the exterior body panels, but it’s heart is still intact, as you can hear when that engine fires up.
More than anything, I think the lesson here is that you can never, ever count a Corvette down and out, regardless of what it has to endure.
