It looks like the Corvette Racing team has a few kinks to work out with the new C7.R.

After rolling into the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring with high hopes of capturing a win, the team’s two C7.R cars ended up finishing sixth and eighth for the second round of the endurance race.  At one point, the No. 4 Corvette C7.R led the race before two late spins and engine issues, according to a Motorsport report.

However, the team’s No. 4 C7.R, driven by Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner and Robin Liddell, did set the TUDOR class’ fastest lap time at 1:59.521 in the Florida race with Gavin at the wheel.

The No. 3 Corvette C7.R, driven by Antonio Garcia, Jan Magnussen and Ryan Briscoe, had a collision in the opening lap and needed a fuel pump replacement in the eight-hour mark.

Hopefully Corvette Racing can work out its issues before the next race on the Long Beach street circuit April 11 – 12.
