Terrifyingly Fast Corvette ZR1 on Amazing Looking HRE Wheels
The C6 ZR1 Corvette is one of the most impressive American cars of all time. Its supercharged 6.2L LS9 V8 makes 638 horsepower, which, when coupled with all the carbon fiber body pieces, allowed the car to blitz the infamous Nurburgring in just 7:19. It was the most powerful American car of its day, and still commands respect when seen out in the wilderness.
However, the new C7 Z06 has dwarfed the ZR1 in almost every aspect imaginable. It has more horsepower, more torque, and it looks like a spaceship hooked up with a Corvette. It is absolutely sublime. However, that doesn’t mean that the ZR1 should be driven out to pasture.
While the current C7 Corvette, in my opinion, will not age gracefully, the C6 has, and will continue to. However, the C6 just needs a light updating in the form of some killer wheels by HRE. Thanks to our sister site, MBWorld, we are now able to showcase one of HRE’s new wheels on a ZR1.
